Fear the Wolves is a competitive first-person shooter in the Battle Royale genre from Vostok Games, bringing the DNA of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. to a brutal 100-player arena. The game throws players, in squads or as lone wolves, into the oppressive conditions of the radiation-ravaged Chernobyl, spread across a map of 25 km2. The classic Battle Royale mode forces them to fight to be the last one standing out of 100 fighters, while another, coming later, brings an exciting twist to the genre.

To take first place, players will have to worry about more than just other survivors. In the hostile wasteland, everyone is threatened by deadly anomalies and dynamically changing weather, which is voted on by players and viewers both in-game and on streaming platforms. As time goes on and the day wears on, survivors must stay alert and constantly adapt to new situations.

Protective gear allows players to explore dangerous, radioactive zones that are inaccessible to lesser-equipped opponents but filled with powerful loot. All the while, the howls of mutated creatures echo throughout the wasteland. Wolves and much worse await foolish players who don’t stay vigilant. Further breaking the genre mold, each game is made truly unique by the irregular and unpredictable spread of deadly radiation that organically approaches players in varying stages of toxicity, which can be dealt with and avoided in a variety of ways. Safety is rarely guaranteed, and experienced players will need to read the environment to determine when it is no longer worthwhile to remain in an area.

Finally, each match ends with a dramatic race to the extraction helicopter, with only one of the few survivors able to make it. Will you pick off stragglers from the rooftop until you are the only one left alive? Or will you choose to make a mad dash for freedom, leaving your pursuers behind and escaping under the cover of night? Each extraction is unique, with the final zone layout and your skills determining the winner. Cosmetic customization options and a deep progression system reward you for victories and close encounters.

All of this, the opponents, brutal shooting mechanics, and an arsenal of weapons, attachments, armor, and melee weapons mean that no two matches will be the same:
