The year is 50 BC. All of Gaul is occupied by the Romans... All? No! One village, populated by rebellious Gauls, still resists the invaders. And life is very difficult for the Roman legionnaires garrisoned in the fortified camps of Babaorum, Aquarium, Laudanum, and Petitbonum. Peace reigned in a small Armorican village, where the inhabitants went about their daily business. Our heroes, Asterix and Obelix, were hunting boar, the blacksmith and the fishmonger were quarrelling, and the chieftain was being carried on a shield around the village square.
After a glorious day of hunting, Asterix and Obelix returned to the village to find the houses plundered by the Romans burning! They set off to rescue their fellow villagers, accompanied by their faithful dog, Dogmatix. Their journey took them to Normandy, Greece, Helvetia, Egypt, and finally Rome, where they must rescue the villagers from the clutches of Emperor Caesar...

• Extreme Mode: the hardest difficulty—the Romans are more numerous and stronger! Can you master this mode, which only the bravest of Gauls are worthy of playing?
